Chowking Halo-halo Radio

Hey! Chowking Halo-halo came out with a radio! :) I saw it on their Facebook post.

Which reminded me of my old Jollibee radio (which I happen to have right beside me.)

Check out the Jollibee radio here.

Anyone else wanting one of those Halo-halo radio? :)

Serenitea Addiction

I first tried Serenitea (Banawe) after trip to the bank one hot sunny day in March. I happened past by it and it was such a hot day - I thought why not cool down with a nice cold drink of milk tea.

I went in with no expectations and was barraged with the number of items on the menu that I had no idea what they were. I asked what each of the drinks were and settled on a Okinawa Milk Tea (Large, 75% Sweetness with Black Bricks).

Since then I’ve gone back to Serenitea quite a number of times (it’s so damn close to where I live!) only ordering the same thing. You would think I would try the other flavours they have like the #1 best selling tea they have called Hokkaido Milk Tea. But no. I like my Okinawa Milk Tea and I’m sticking to it until I can’t stand it any longer (which would be a while - I love it!).

Aside from that, I’ve also been taking out their Pepper Corn and Pepper Potato. Yummy. I love pepper and that basil topping on these snacks are just wonderful.

Go ahead and try out a tea or two on a lazy afternoon. You won’t regret it. :)

After reading about this little place in Tagaytay called Marcia Adams from Our Awesome Planet, we decided to give it a try on one of our trips there.

Last February, we finally were able to set aside a Saturday to down to Tagaytay. We called ahead to reserve a table for 8 for us and our friends and although we knew the place wasn’t officially opened yet - we thought it be safe since there were quite a few of us trying the place out.

With the help of Our Awesome Planet’s guide - it was pretty easy to find.

Marcia Adams

Inside Marcia Adams

Mr. Adams greeted us with a smile and we even got to meet Marcia as well even though she was hard at work inside the kitchen. Their kids came up to play with my kid too!

The food was great, each plate prepared fresh so be prepared to stay a while. It’s not a place to eat at when you’re in a hurry.

Appetizer

The Bunderberg Ginger beer and Peachee drink were quite nice too.

Bundaberg Ginger Beer

I recommend you to try it out the next time you’re up in Tagaytay.

DIRECTIONS (Taken from Anton Diaz’s Our Awesome Planet review):

I found Marcia Adams pretty easy with these directions!

Marcia Adams’ Tuscany Place
To reserve, call Marcia at +63917 801 1456.
It is located along the border of Tagaytay and Alfonso, Cavite across Ville Sommet.

To go to Marcia’s, just drive all the way to Tagaytay and turn right at the Tagaytay Rotonda.
Go all the way to Alfonso, Cavite. You will pass by the restaurants along the Ridge, the Mendez intersection, and the turn to Antonio’s.
You turn right when you see the Tagaytay Arch with Pineapples, and Residence Inn on your left. You should see a sign leading to Ville Sommet. You will see the entrance of Tuscany on your left.

We had Yellow Cab for lunch today. We wanted to try the Dear Darla pizza recommended to us by a friend. Having no idea what it is but the praise of that friend we ordered a 10-inch Dear Darla Pizza.
And yes. It was good. I personally don’t eat much “American” pizza ( which I call those greasy, huge piles of cheese and meat from Shakey’s and Pizza Hut ) but I knew this was thin crust and supposed to be a “healthy twist to an all-time favorite classic”.
Its thin-crust allows you to roll the pizza (see image) with the arugula and alfalfa spouts that comes with it. The mix of the flavors are a perfect match.
It’s definitely different from the other normal pizza’s and I like it much better. But don’t just take my word for it. Try it out.
Have you tried it? We’d love to hear what you think - maybe even send in a photo of you devouring the little buggers.
*by the way, I’m not being paid by Yellow Cab Pizza for this. ( I wish I was - but no. )
