Japanese engineers develop flying robotic orb
This is pretty cool stuff. And as they point out, it’s also a proof-of-concept prototype, so, basically, you can expect it to get more awesome in time. For better or for worse, it may just be a few years till we see robotic spheres roaming the skies and streets.
Also, at just $1,400 and using common parts, I’d love to see someone release a DIY kit for something like this.

For the most part, he succeeded at captivating the audience and getting the media to call this device a worthy competitor to the iPad.

Seagate announced the immediate release of the 4TB GoFlex Desk external hard drive on Wednesday, claiming the title of being the first company to market with such a high capacity drive. (via Seagate’s new 4TB hard drive is the first one of its kind - Gadgets)
